Improving Your Cardiovascular Fitness Is The Key To Increasing Weight Loss

For most people calorie counting and sticking to a diet doesn't work for them. Ultimately those who do lose some weight this way will end up putting it all back on as soon as they stop dieting.

Then people tend to get into a cycle of dieting and stopping which isn't healthy. However there are a few other routes you can take to lose weight and keep it off. It's possible all down to one thing: cardiovascular exercise.

When you start doing cardiovascular exercise you may notice that you feel a bit tired. When you do exercise your muscles demand oxygen to work and your respiratory system isn't usually used to the increase, which is why this happens. But things do get much easier as you get more accustomed to doing exercise. You may get really warm and sweaty and red in the face the first time you go out for a proper walk. Because of this you'll intake more air into your lungs, meaning more oxygen can be supplied around your body for doing the exercise. The puffing and panting will stop after you keep doing this often. You'll notice you have more energy as your respiratory function improves with the extra exercise.

People have generally observed that by doing more cardiovascular exercise you are cutting down the amount of fat you store in your body. With an increase in exercise also comes an increase in the need to eat. Your body will need extra energy as you do more activity throughout the day. Fat stores are sometimes used as extra energy for your body. You can therefore lose fat by doing just a few extra things like walking up the stairs or parking your car at the end of the car park so you have to walk further.

Sadly a large number of people feel ashamed of taking a stroll around the block. They avoid going out at all because they feel that people will be looking at them and laughing. Rather than worry about exercising alone, why not encourage a friend to go with you. It's a great way of spending time with them and you're also improving your fitness as well. It's also a great form of motivation to ensure you keep going. In general improving your level of fitness can help you in more ways than one. Both your long term health and happiness are significantly affected by exercise. Those with a higher level of fitness are in fact much better off as they have a reduced chance of getting cancer, type II diabetes and also heart disease. Your body will be provided with more energy when you do more physical activities. This is good for people wanting to wake up feeling energized and refreshed and also lose weight at the same time.
